After a short break for the summer, the Dubai Irish Golf Society are back in action tonight, the 4th of September 2026.
Proceedings start at 7pm at Five Iron Golf, one of the main DIGS sponsors, and will feature simulator bays, nearest-to-the-pin challenges, and a run through what is coming this season. Five Iron features in our roundup of the best indoor golf and simulators in Dubai.
The pricing is very competitive as always with DIGS: AED 75, or AED 275 if you want the special drinks package which includes Guinness. Given that it is an Irish golfing group, there may be plenty who opt for the drinks package.

The Els Club, Saturday 12 September
The opening night is one week before the season kicks off in earnest. The Els Club on Saturday the 12th is the stage for the first proper outdoor event of the season: a four-person scramble, AED 400 with carts and range included. Again, this is a very competitive rate to play such a prestigious course in the UAE.
FITT Meals are again the sponsors, offering team prizes alongside eGolf Megastore on the course.
Tee times run from 10.28am to 11.48am, with scoring through Golf Genius, so handicaps should be correct at check-in. For society handicap players there are caps at a first event: a maximum of 18 for men and 24 for ladies, rising to 24 and 36 thereafter. There are no restrictions for anyone holding a valid EGF or GHIN handicap.

Al Zohra In October
The second on-course event of the season takes place in October at Al Zohra Golf Club.
Membership
Membership’s AED 300 for the season and pays for itself quickly, 20% off at Five Iron, McCafferty’s and eGolf, plus society rates all year. It also includes the new season’s DIGS polo shirt and poker chip ball marker, and a reduced rate on an EGF or GHIN handicap next year.
Players who want to join an event without taking the annual membership pay a AED 50 sub on the day.
